Tesla Ticketed

Cars & Transportation (cars)

teslaticket.jpgWe can't say we're surprised, any car that can go 0-60 in 4 seconds is bound to get it's owner in some trouble. But the Tesla Roadster has managed to get a speeding ticket before ever even going on sale. Looks like someone from Tesla was taking the prototype out for a ride and got themselves stuck in a speed trap.

It's fast, it's silent, it's black and it's sleek...but the good people at Tesla haven't got the invisibility booster working yet. So, owners of the fastest emissions free vehicle on the road are still going to have to take it easy when the cops are around.::Jalopnik

Not to be a bad guy about 'lectric vehicles (i love them), but one has to wonder when they see this photo... who exactly was in the exact spot that the cop pulled the car over? me thinks it might be a marketing ploy. the 3rd person point of view in the photo is sort of a give-away. god bless tesla, but i'm getting sick of the "viral" marketing campaigns. enough already.

I often stand around watching or taking pictures of normal traffic stops if i have time. I like to help prevent people from getting victimized by our corrupt police in Edmonton (Canada), who regularly taser, beat, and/or pepper-spray civilians for minor infractions.

Same here, except (1) I do it from inside my vehicle, and (2) mainly to document the increasing use of unmarked cars for revenue enhancement^H^H^H^H traffic enforcement. A bad trend for so many reasons.
