Ecopod Arrives at the Elephant and Castle

First we had an ecopod coffin. Then we had an ecopod composter. Now we have an Ecopod solar powered exhibit space at quaintly named Elephant and Castle in London. Would someone please put this word out of its misery? Really, it is a "bright new exhibition space powered entirely by renewable sources of energy. Films and information are projected on to the outside of the pod, which is illuminated at night in striking hues of red, blue and yellow." and constructed from a "recycled shipping crate." Right now it is promoting proposals for a new crosstown tram. (streetcar) ::Ecopod

Cross River Tram is a new Transport for London transport scheme that will link north and south London, providing improved access to Central London for Southwark residents as well as a greener method of transport with shorter journey times.
