Coolhunting Guide to Eating Better

coolhunting%20food.jpgThe hipsters over at trendwatching site Coolhunting must be getting old; they are starting to post resolutions for healthy eating in the new year. They suggest Bear Naked Granola for when they crawl in at 4AM- "Their products have always impressed us for their quality, variety, light and natural sweetness and their wholesome natural ingredients.", Pomegranate Syrup- "More than a passing fad" -fights hangovers and aging. Crispy Green freeze dried fruits (we disagree with this one- apples last all year, why freeze dry them?) and more at ::CoolHunting

Barenaked granola is E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E. It was after looking for good granola at the grocery a couple of months ago and facing the prospect of this small $4.50 bag, whose thick plastic packaging almost matches its contents in volume, that I began to make my own granola. It is so easy, and with bulk oats and other ingredients (over which I now have total control), the cost and packaging waste are greatly reduced. It takes some time and commitment, but I find it to be well worth it.
