Peace Oil

Food & Health (food)

peace%20oil.jpg It's extra virgin, great on salads and a lubricant for relationships in the Middle East. It's Peace Oil-- olive oil produced in Northern Israel by a collaboration of Arabs, Jews, Bedouins and Druze working together. This joint venture is sponsored by the Charities Advisory Trust which encourages co-operation between communities. Its vision is that through economic co-operation and daily contacts, barriers will be broken down, and understanding and respect built. The label for the bottle reflects this with the words "Peace Oil" in English, Hebrew and Arabic. The oil is pressed from organically grown Suria olives found in the foothills of the Carmel Mountains in the Galilee. They are grown organically, but because the neighbouring farms are not organic, they do not yet have certification. It is not produced in bulk and the olives are taken straight from the tree to the mill and pressed within hours of picking. This gives it a very pure and characteristic taste--perfect for salads and garnish. Profits from sales are used to support peace and reconciliation work in the Middle East. :: Peace Oil

Dear Bonnie,
I just thought it might be of service to your readers to let them know that Peace Oil is also available in the US from Olive Branch Enterprises, a company set up to encourage grass-roots economic cooperation between Israelis and Palestinians. This is a separate entity from Charities Trust Fund and it is entirely by coincidence that we are using the same name for our products. Eventually, I hope to discuss a mutual strategy to help our common customers avoid confusion. Currently, I am not sure if Peace Oil can be obtained through Good Gifts or the peaceoil.org website as when I attempted to purchase from Good Gifts I was told they were having difficulty shipping into the US. Customers interested in gourmet extra virgin olive oil from Israel Palestine should have no difficulty obtaining the product at http://www.peaceoil.biz/. We ship throughout the US and Canada. Thank you for your attention.

I would like to draw attention to the PEACE OIL. There are investigations about Mr Blume regarding the above.

There is no such money going back to the Palestinian economy, we desparately need it. The money stays in Israel. I would go so far as saying Ms Blume stated 'IF THEY USED PALESTINIAN OIL, IT WOULD ONLY BE GOOD FOR COOKING WITH'.

Peace oil, forget it. You are funding the Israeli Illegal Settlements where this oil is produced.

I too want peace, but not one side. For someone to claim it is Peace Oil forget it. Buy ZATOUN OIL.

I myself spoke to Ms Blume and asked where in Palestine the money goes, and she shouted down the phone 'THERE IS NO SUCH PLACE AS PALESTINE'.

You want peace in the Middle East forget PEACE OIL.
