Less is the New More: The JimX Wallet
by Lloyd Alter, Toronto

When we first got our Jimi Wallet a year ago, we hated it. We could only get five cards into it, and we had to learn how to fold our money in thirds to fit in neatly. We persevered, and came to understand that it forced us to be careful and minimalist in our choices- do we really need three different Visa cards? How much money do we really need to carry? We could push cards out of it like a dealer in Las Vegas, it comfortably fit in any pocket, and we have learned to deeply love it. Now there is a new model, the JimX, for people who just need to carry more cash. We don't think that it will sit as nicely in our pocket and will stick with our JIMI, but in the States where they still have one dollar bills, it might make sense. A Jimi is an acquired taste, but once you get it, you wonder how you lived without it. Locally made, 100% recycled and cheap at 16 bucks. ::JIMI via ::Josh Spear

Around $4 each!
They break easily. My mate didn't overstuff his, but it still cracked after less than three months of basic usage.
I'm not sure I understand the need for these. I've been an anti-wallet guy for years. I have three debit/credit cards, drivers license, insurance card, and a note from my daughter all stacked together and bound with a thick rubber band that came off of a bunch of broccoli. Sometimes I fold an "emergency" $20 and stick between the cards. Any other misc cash goes in my front pocket. Small, simple, easy to carry and discourages carrying way more crap than I need. Plus, my replacement wallets come in a variety of colors and are as close as the veggie drawer in our fridge.
I have used an aluminum business card holder as my wallet for 8+ years now. And I still get complemented on how it looks. I bought it for ten bucks, engraved for free.
I am sure a plastic one would have disintegrated already.
And I don't know how many regular wallets I would have went through.
I think I'm missing something. How is this plastic thingy is better than a small wallet from a material that will disintegrade in less than a thousand years?
I just bought my Jimi a few weeks ago, and I love it. I had already been a small wallet kind of guy so the transition wasn't too bad. I had tried the rubber band idea that Randy mentioned for a while, but found it too difficult to get my cards and cash in and out. Best wallet I've ever owned.
I'll stick with my leather slim wallet thanks
you can get one free- no shipping or anything- if you join the facebook group "chase +1" I just got mine the other day
