You're right, some of the products are packaged in plastic. I know of food manufacturers moving towards compostable packaging but are not at the point of distributing to market.
Do you know of any food companies that use sustainable/compostable packaging? If you do, please post, it would be great to learn about them. FYI - some of the products I distribute do come in compostable packaging.
