What’s Happening In Your Neck of the Woods?
by Eric Kane, New York, NY on 10.26.06
Here at TreeHugger, we try to cover a range of environmental happenings on the local, state, national, and global levels. However, we can’t get to everything. Subsequently, I wanted to ask our readers to share some of the exciting developments in your area. It could be a new organic restaurant, an environmental book club, the opening of biodiesel gas station, or anything else that might inspire other readers. Leave a comment, and let the TreeHugger community know what’s going on.

A biodiesel station just opened in downtown Little Rock, AR. I haven't seen anyone using it, but I've only driven by once.
The local heating oil company offers a 100% bio-oil (biodiesel, but not taxed like diesel) option. I'm not sure how expensive it is because I use natural gas for heat.
There's a Biodiesel Auto Show scheduled for November 5 in Ann Arbor:

" Concept: all-organic menu (certified by nonprofit Oregon Tilth—one of only two such restaurants in existence) and all-obscenely-delicious food (certified by me and, soon, you and everyone we know)."
Not exactly "exciting" but noteworthy for your site.. Has your Lawrence, Kansas contributor stumbled on the Walmart vs Lawrence shenanigans going on in the north west part of town?
It never ends:
