You've got your Think chair. You've got your Autopilot workstation. You're ready to work, and work green, but you're missing toner for your printer, a calculator and batteries to power it, and sticky notes. Thankfully, there's The Green Office, an online retailer of recycled, environmentally friendly, and sustainable business products, school supplies, and paper. In addition to just about anything you could possibly need for an office of just about any size (yep, carpet shampooers and cups and mugs for the breakroom included), The Green Office also offers an office footprint calculator, sustainability calculator and a database of recyclers, as well as more than you probably want to know about the issues, products & materials, services and solutions surrounding having a green office. They have some pretty good sustainability characteristics themselves as proud owners of the Co-op America Business Seal of Approval; they're also Bay Area Green Business Program Certified and offset the greenhouse gases that are produced by their business. They can definitely help your office go green, from the fax/printer/copier to the ink it prints to the paper it uses to the table it sits on...you get the idea. ::The Green Office via tipster Mitra

This site is great.. Much more complete than the green sections on the major office suppliers' websites.

Oh goody! They have sit'n'stand workstations! ...but all the adjustable ones are un-green.

You would do this to me, wouldn't you? Ah well, can't have it all I guess.

This business is a part of the growing green movement that is redefining the traditional marketplace.

They offer the selection and service of the big corporates, but with careful attention paid to sustainability. They even offset all of the emissions from their deliveries - this company is definitely one to support!

The Green Office is a great source for environmentally conscious office products. In addition, they provide a good amount of detailed content on a wide variety of environmental issues. Highly recommended for all persons and organizations interested in making their offices and lives a little "Greener."

So glad to see Treehugger highlighting this company! Mostly I'm excited about a pen called "woody widebody" made from recycled tree scraps and brass fillings... I've never had a pen with a pseudo-porn name but I'm getting one ASAP! Check them out for sure!

TGO (The Green Office) is THE WAY TO GO if you want a practical way to begin greening your home or work office--and to learn how to go deeper green over time. Gobs of products, info, tools and links to make greening-up easy and affordable. TGO is worth shouting about!

Glad to see Treehugger recognising The Green Office. I've already used them and found my order (complete with offset carbon emissions) came next day, even to my office in rural Vermont. Awesome.

The Green Office is a godsend! A true one-stop shop in the Whole Foods model - we can buy all our supplies from them. Thank you, TGO!

styrofoam and plastic disposable cups? borden milk? last i checked styrofoam and factory dairy farming are pretty darn far from green. its cool that they carry a large selection of green products, but meh, it just doesn't feel right.

The Green Office is the answer to a pressing "green" question -- how can I live better and greener on a day-to-day basis? Here is an easy solution. Buy green office products! and if you're a business owner, you can use TGO's guides to help you get greener and greener. i'm very impressed by the ease of it all.

FINALLY! A truly green answer to Staples & OfficeMax's greenwashing.

I ordered spiral binders and what a joy to get a basic "green" product - not your glossy, primary blue, green, or red items our kids get for elementary school. Immediate service and right cause to support. Go Green Office.

We've done two orders now from the site and everything arrived fast. TGO is the perfect one-stop green shop and the My List function allows us to do recurrent orders with just a few clicks. Great job!

What better way to cut back on waste and promote greener lifestyles than by changing the kinds of products your office (and officemates) use? I looooooooove The Green Office. And it's not just because their website is so sexy.

jump to top Regan says:

I'm very impressed by their selection of products.

I am however, extremely disappointed that they do not distribute in Canada and hope that they do soon.
