If you own a Toyota hybrid and LOVE it, you could wind up as part of a new Toyota national campaign. Our sources tell us there may very well be good money involved, too. The ad agencies Saatchi LA & TVS Productions are looking for Camry, Highlander, and Prius drivers to participate in a series of commercials featuring passionate Hybrid Synergy Drive(r)s and their vehicles.

They want to know who you are and what your reasons are for owning a
hybrid. You must own or have a Toyota hybrid vehicle in your immediate family to apply.

HOW TO APPLY:

Send an email to telluswhy@nvbb.net including:

Your name
a) Age
b) City/state of residence
c) A photo of yourself
d) A photo of your Toyota hybrid
e) Your reason for purchasing a Toyota hybrid vehicle

Deadline: All applications must be received no later than October 30th, 2006

I would love to own a Highlander hybrid

I like the idea of Hybrids using less foreign fuel, but isn't it super toxic to make batteries even little duracell batteries. Aren't the emissions from that highly dangerous and cancerous. Does anyone know? Someone told me that to make the large hybrid batteries is highly toxic to the environment so that if we create more demand for these cars we are really creating more pollution for the environment and also contributing to global warming. Can anyone comment on this please? I would love to know, I would love to own a Prius but I don't want to contribute to polluting the environment.
Thank you

editor note: Hybrid batteries can be recycled (they actually pay you to take them back), they last for the life of the vehicle, and they will save a lot more energy and pollution than they ever used during their production.

I know everybody loves a good story of: "Oh, but hybrids are actually worse for the environment!", but its just not true.

I made the first round of cuts and they asked me to make a video - here's a link to see what I'll be sending them.

Am I the only one who applied for this?
