Josh Daniels had so much trouble finding green materials for his house renovation that he and his wife started Green Sacramento, a retailer of sustainable building supplies, last year. However, it is still almost impossible to find contractors to do the work.“The consumers are far ahead of the contractors,” said Dan Taddei, director of education for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, which represents 5,000 remodeling companies, most of which do not emphasize green building.
