etnies SEED Project: Eco-Action Sports Clothing

by Erin Courtenay - Madison, WI on 09.21.06
Fashion & Beauty (clothing)

etnies.jpgAction sports clothing maker etnies recently announced plans for an eco-focused line of clothing under the etnies SEED Project label. The collection of skateboard, surf, snowboard, BMX, motocross and street wear will be crafted from organic fabrics and materials including hemp, bamboo, cotton and vegetable dyes. The SEED threads are a natural extension of the footwear/clothing maker's growing commitment to environmental initiatives, including: a solar powered R&D facility; water-based vs. petroleum based cements in most shoe production; recyclable and recycled packaging, and; an employee led "green" committee. Sales of the new eco-line will also provide funds for 1% For The Planet. Weirdly, I can't find nada on the etnies website about the SEED Project - seems like it might make a mention in their blog, no? Via: ridebmx.com
