While hunting down the digital version of the Sydney Morning Herald’s story on how to save a buck or two at the gas pump we spied this news. In brief, Andy Green has just set a new land speed record for a diesel vehicle by travelling “at 350.092 mph (563.418kph) after two passes in opposite directions, within one hour.” He was driving the JCB DIESELMAX on the Bonneville Salt Flats, on 23 August 06. Now when they can do that on biodiesel, we’ll be real impressed. For a revhead’s toolchest worth of more information, fasten your seat belt and zoom over to ::JCB Dieselmax.

Any reason why it wouldn't do that on Biodiesel?
