Clinton Global Initiative - September 20-22, 2006 : NYC

The “CGI” is next month hosting a conference of famous leaders and business people featuring those who will make a personal commitment, to solving “big problems.” The output could be worthy of our attention because one of the principal topics will be Climate Change . We take it as a sign of the times (tipping point in awareness achieved) that none of the listed sponsors of the conference are organizations you’d expect to find mentioned in a TreeHugger posting. Familiar names do crop up on the agenda for the 20-22 September event, however: Gus Speth, William McDonough, Carol Browner, Jeremy Legget, and Richard Branson, for example. Hope one of them gets a chance to make some seminal remarks about the importance of design.
