Now that it is summer in the N. hemisphere, friends and family are jetting around the globe to make visits, take vacations and (unintentionally) contribute to global warming. While carbon offset programs are becoming more common - you still can't click on "offset my trip" when booking a flight on Orbitz.com, so it becomes one more extra step on the way to becoming a bona fide treehugger.
