Design & Architecture (prefab)

playshed_raw_3.jpg If you can't afford a modern prefab for yourself, the least you can do is get one for your kids. "The Modern Playshed is all about modern architecture, affordability, and creative customization for parents, with good design and and imaginative play for kids. Designed by Ryan Grey Smith, (of Modern-shed fame) architect and parent, in collaboration with Velocity, "the Modern Playshed is inspired by classic mid-century architecture. The prefab design is thoughtfully constructed to be as much fun to assemble, customize, and decorate as it is for playtime." Only $2,995 or if you count such things, $ 111.67 PSF. from ::Velocity

Or you could get a refrigerator box from your local appliance store and cut some windows and doors into it. Our kids have one they are continually improving and updating with secret compartments, window curtains, lights, etc.

Free, reused and recyclable - can't beat that combo!
