10th Annual Webby Awards - TreeHugger Nominated!

by Michael Graham Richard, Gatineau, Canada on 04.11.06
Take Action (events)

vote4us_108x108_trans.gifTreeHugger has been nominated for a Webby Award! We are in the Blog - Cultural/Personal category along with BoingBoing, Rocketboom (hi amanda!), Cute Overload and We Make Money Not Art. We're all eligible for the "Internet industry's two most sought-after awards: The Webby Award and The People's Voice Award." That's right, the winner of one of the awards is decided by you, the people! It is, of course, an honor just to be nominated, but our hearts would burst with joy and gratitude if we were to win the people's voice award. There would be a great party with local organic food and wine at la casa de TreeHugger!

The voting ends on May 5th, the winners will be announced on May 9th and they will be honored at a Gala hosted by Rob Corddry (Daily Show with Jon Stewart) in NYC on June 12. Please vote for us ("blog - cultural/personal", first category on top). Thank you!

hey treehugger admin-types, i just wanted to say thanks for listening to my suggestion that i posted a few polls back. adding "this post is continued on the site" to the feed makes things much easier. now i definitely have to go vote for you! (i would have anyway, but still).

Congrats! I was thrilled to see your nomination, and also the NextMillionNet in business, and Share Your Story in community. Three sites that I love!

jump to top Nancy White says:

Jessica, thank you for making the suggestion. We're always looking for ways to improve the site.

Nancy, I'll have a look at these websites. Thanks.

Nobody’s going to “Save the Planet”!

The planet doesn’t care diddly squat about us and it will still be here long after we are gone.

Our problem is to try to preserve the planet’s ability to sustain life……which it doesn’t care about one way or the other.

I am interested in comments (pro or con) from people who own stand alone composting toilets.

I am NOT interested in testimonials from the manufacturers.

John
