Vote for the Un-Treehugger Poster Child of Bottled Waters

by Lloyd Alter, Toronto on 03. 3.06
Food & Health

First we had H20m- water infused with intentions, lovingly bottled and then sung to. Day 2 we had Skinny Water, brought all the way from Croatia (so thats why Croatians always look skinny in the news pictures), then O18, where they squeeze it out of fruit and bring it from Australia. Day 4 brought us Au le Cadeau; water in glass eiffel towers with real gold dissolved in it and finally, K9- bottled water for dogs. Which wins the Environmental igNobel, the Green Razzie?

So hard to choose. I want to vote for all of them..

Each of the choices in your survey should link to more info on the item.

I haven't voted on the "wasteful packaging" survey b/c I don't know about each.

Just my perspective,
B.

LA: I have included links in the copy above the survey.

Is this a trick question?
Then answer is none. Bottling
water is not a sustainable endeavor.

The answer is easy... Which one is imported from farther away?

If you buy bottled water and I have at times usually when traveling, buy the one most local.

So much of what I read eco-wise tends to be so angry at a particular product that it's overlooked that in some situations the product you're so angry at may be the more logical choice.

BTW Croatia is not the horrible place you imply. So if you're there and want a bottled water try the local.
