New Organic Vodka Coming Soon
by Justin Thomas, Virginia on 03.28.06
A new brand of organic vodka will soon be launched. It's called Square One Vodka, and according to Allison Kent Evanow, CEO and co-founder of Square One, the vodka will be launched in the first week of April, and will start selling immediately in the Manhattan area with simultaneous launches in SF, LA, and Santa Fe. Allison intends to give part of after-tax profits to land and water environmental causes, in addition to other social responsibility charities. Square One will be using recycled paper for their label, packaging, and all PR materials. See also this organic vodka called OrangeV. :: Via: CocktailOrganico

The three key words from this post are: "all PR materials."
The favorite drink of Mathman revealed!
I thoroughly enjoy Rain Vodka.
If you go to Ann Arbor, check out Leopold Bros brewery. Organic beer and liquors, and the best juke box around.
Um... CTP... You sorta left out the first part of the sentence that says: "Square One will be using recycled paper for their label, packaging, and all PR materials." Packaging and labeling is rather a large part as well.
I'd like to know if these guys (and others a like) plan to try and use more eco-friendly distribution methods (hm?), recycled containers, paper-less office, etc.
I got to sample this at a recent event - and it is simply excellent. People who don't usually drink booze were impressed by the smoothe taste. If eco-products like these continue to demonstrate that you can have quality AND environmental sensitivity, we'll be that much further along.
I want to give some recognition to a small company out of Wisconsin - Death's Door Spirits. This company has created two amazing products, a vodka and gin. Death's Door Spirits prides itself in supporting local agriculture and sustainability. Death's Door Vodka uses only organic wheat grown on Washington Island in Door County, Wisconsin. And the juniper berries for the gin are picked wild on Washington Island. Death's Door Spirits actively participates and supports local farmers and agriculture. Death's Door is generating a buzz around Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Death's Door is another company worth noting in this growing field of sustainability.

benny2run is really an employee of Deaths Door. Look at his profile- he works in urban planning. What a coincidence! this is what the company that own's deaths door does too! Also, the wheat is not organic and he should know saying so is illegal advertising.
benny2run is obviously a shill for deaths door. Almost identical comments have been posted in other blogs. Also bennys profile says he works for an urban planning firm- well it just so happens that the parent company of deaths door is an urban planning co in Madison WI. Saying your product is organic when it is clearly not is false advertising.
yep, found "ben" at luxist with the same sales pitch for his death door vodka and gin that...if you look at the bottle it is distilled and bottled in Iowa, nice
I frequently drink super premium vodkas and must say that I enjoy Vodka 14 over all other organic vodkas. Not only is it USDA certified organic, but it was created by a father and son that come from three generations of distillers. Great packaging and story behind its creation.
