Here are a few recommended websites.

I miss having the option to "page back--" to previous posts in chronilogical, rather than subject, order.
lenega, we did not remove the option do move foward and backwards between posts in chronological order.
Could you describe your problem a bit more precisely? Maybe you found a bug in Movable Type (the software we use to publish this blog) or maybe I'm just not understand what feature you are talking about. Thanks.
I read throughout the day, I'm only really interested in the alternative energy and legislation posts though. The prefab and housing stuff is awesome but the problem is that markets don't allow a lot of that kind of stuff so I don't think it would affect me all that much. Product reviews are great and recipe's I always try. You really should put together a list of sustainable clothing retailers. There are a few lists that should be compiled actually.
More cow bell :) I don't see anything really wrong with the site. Everyday you post things I like. The rest is gravy. I personally don't like time tables for intelligent work. I say scrap any internal demands you have and post the best you got. Post once or one hundred times a day but let it be interesting.
Ok. I really like TH. Few comments though. On the weekends (Sat/Sun) in the US it seems to slow down a bit.
A few things design wise for accessibility to people loading no images/using screen readers/braille displays. While one can navigate TH, it is a bit annoying/luggish. You have to chug through a full reading of "next entry, page top, page bottom, add to your del.icio.us, blah blah blah" Then finally it reads the title of the entry. Next entry is great but you just end up at the beginning of the graphic bar again and the same readout of "next entry, page top, blah blah blah" which you then have to wade through. It actually SLOWS the reading down considerably and is a pain to tab through. Add a simple "read this entry" button right before "next entry" It would make life easier.
Another thing that would make life easier. jump_page.gif is not a very good descriptor if you can't see the image. Had to get sighted assistance for that. And for images, if it is eye-candy/generic picture just leave the image tag empty. " ". It is almost useless to read "banner_loomstate.gif" presented in the recent warning post on today is the last day to submit a contest prize. But even that is more informative than TOP.gif for the image for the post on warming mittens. Better alt text (of short sentence or less of description) would be better. Though I do understand time constraints.
But I do like the articles TH posts, especially DIY projects.
I also do not like the majority of sites using Flash. Not only are they rude to some sighted eyes, so far all of the sites that TH has mentioned that used Flash, and linked to, were not designed for screen reader/braille accessibility in mind and were almost, if not completely inaccessible (the great majority of Flash sites on the internet are not either but it is possible!) If you could, post an email/telephone number in the entry that you post on TH so one can comment on the website design/ask questions on the products. I have noted that others on TH have not liked flash either for various reasons, such as the huge amount of time it takes to download on dial-up speeds. If one cannot access the pages well enough to gleam the contact info, then the companies will not know readily that they are posing barriers.
Peace and keep up the good work.
Who are these people saying they want less posts? A pox on all your houses!!!! ......unless their prefab of course.
I like the frequency of the posts, but I don't like having to click on "Continue Reading...", only to get a measly 3 extra sentences most of the time. This is especially annoying since I usually read TH through a Livejournal RSS feed, which doesn't even show the "continue reading" link. I can't even tell if there is more of the post behind the link until I click on the link to the entire post.
It would be great if you could post the entire content of short posts without having to click on something extra, and save the "continue reading" for things that are significantly longer than a few sentences.
Sorry to be the grammar person, but that should be "fewer" posts, not "less" posts.
