The Tofu Bear: Bean Curd's Best Ambassador

My brother's not into tofu. Neither is Oprah. But there's one thing I know for sure: both of them would love a soft, cuddly bear made from it. The Tofu Bear's fabric, called SOYSILK(R), is made from waste produced during the food's processing. Who wouldn't trade in synthetic petroleum-based bears for some nontoxic cashmere-like softness? The fill is still a standard, hypoallergenic variety, but great strides are being made to make the little buddies eco inside and out. Soon the Tofu Bear will be on your list of favorite things. $39. Perhaps if I were to buy this bear for my sweetie, it could whisper sweet veggie nothings in his ear all night. Nothing else has worked...yet.
I purchased two of the tofu bears and they were horribly constructed. I washed one bear, which was torn in four spots after taking it out of the washer. I looked at the unwashed bear and noticed two places where the seams were not sowen together. I would not give this item to a small child.
The tofu bear website states the bear is made of 100% SOYSILK, which is not true. The bear is filled with synthetic material.
