I'm a vegan, and in the process of opening a vegan eco store online and a retail store in se. florida. I've been doing research on products and treehugger has been a great source of information. But let truth be told, matt & nat bags are not exactly green. Yes no animals are directly harmed in the process, but the bags are made from PVC, and not the recycled stuff.

I'm commited to selling vegan products, but not at the cost of the environment - so it's just going to have to be both. I did tell the company that if they ever do decide to come out with an eco-friendly line I would love to carry it.

On that note, i created a blog (link is on my website - ecoserra.com) to share my experience with others, and hopefully raise some awareness on just how eco these designers really are.

I also wanted to note, i have a few of these bags up on my site because they happened to have come my way. I have to say I love the look of these bags, it's nice that vegans have this option! I also look forward to the day they use more sustainable materials.
