Strange Waters #1:H2Om- Water Infused with Intention

by Lloyd Alter, Toronto on 02.27.06
Science & Technology (water)

h2om.jpgWe have discussed in previous posts the extravagance of bottled water, yet it clearly has appeal to many. What is its charm and attraction? We look at different waters and try to figure it out.

First up: we introduce H2OM- water infused with intention, available in love and perfect health infusions. "Water registers and faithfully transmits any frequency it is exposed to. In fact, scientific studies have proven that water is directly effected by the words, sounds and thoughts it is exposed to. Water exposed to loving words and music showed brilliant, and complex crystallized patterns under the microscope at near freezing temperatures." The makers of H2Om take spring water from the San Diego Mountains and infuse it with distinctive energetic frequencies.

h2om2.jpg

"The First is the vibrational frequency of the label. The use of words, symbols and colors on the label. Each bottle contains the symbol of the Absolute “ Om ”. It also contains the vibratory word “Love” or “Perfect Health” written on the label in many of the world’s languages. A specific color vibration has also been chosen for each bottle, this color coordinates with the corresponding chakra.

The next energetic frequency is introduced to the water through the power of sound and music. After the bottling process is complete, we charge the water in the storage facility with sound and music with intent.

The final energetic frequency is the power of thought. The consumer’s ability to connect to the water and literally, “Drink” the vibration inspired and supported by the words on the label. This not only reverberates in their body, but out into the world as well. It also brings about an awareness that connecting with your food and water is a sacred grateful act." ::H2Om water via ::Strange New Products

I'm begging your pardon?

I think the only audible frequencies this water was exposed to was the CEO mumbling "let's rip 'em off!" while they were bottled!

This kind of stuff gives enviromentalism a bad name.

That I care about the environment does not mean I am a braindead new age hippy.

jump to top pieter says:

So if I mix these two waters I have Love AND Perfect Health? Wow!

Marketing genius + gullible consumer x excessive disposable income = Bottled water

jump to top MY says:

Did you publish this early? Surely April 1st would be more appropriate.

jump to top Ray Johnson says:

I never thought the attraction of bottled water was that difficult to understand: it's more convenient than the tap and has a consistent taste. Whether that makes it worth the multiple levels of waste involved is a matter of personal opinion. (For my part, I buy bottled once and refill them. I grew up on well water, so the taste of city water doesn't even register.)

jump to top Scott says:

Sounds like Kabbalah foolishness

jump to top truth says:

This is actually a way of culling the stoopid population. It has an infusion of nan-bots which lay dormant. If you drink more than one bottle of this stuff, the bots activate and kill the host some months later (removing any ties to consuming the water).

I find it brilliant!

:D

what about broadcasting good sounds to my plumbing,to the water already in my body... lead shield for the bottle .... before you know it they'll be billion dollar industry .

jump to top Kwong says:

ok i don't like the fact that they're using stupid old #1 plastic instead of that fancy degardeable Biota water bottles, but am blown away by the closed-minded anti-new age sentiments here... it is pretty much accepted now that Masaru Emoto is not faking his photos or making a quick marketing buck (i did not say the same for the H2Om peeps)

... so while it may be better for you, me and the planet to filter our own water, fill it in jugs and write these words on them as opposed to buying premade newagey iffy stuff, it doesn't mean that vibes, and insights into the subtler parts of our life are bunk!

Part of the problem we are in on this planet comes from people not seeing the magic in life and the mystical presence in our experiences.. If people did feel a one-ness to the outer, there would be a lot less deforestation, a lot less raping of the earth and a lot less scoffing when someone makes an effort to lift the veil -ever so slighly.

i mean pick on the non-renewable bottle & pick on the lame graphics, but the science ought to be understaood before guffaws

I had a feeling this would come up.

"it is pretty much accepted now that Masaru Emoto is not faking his photos or making a quick marketing buck"

While I think Emoto has published some lovely images with a positive message, lets not confuse science with new age spirituality. There is no science in Emoto's experiments . That has been proven.

Get it from the bloody tap for crying out loud!

jump to top caldini says:

eric, there are usually "rational" explanations for things that seem miraculous, and usually plenty of "scientists" ready to explain them away. yet, science is only half the story.

the nature of this world is revealing itself as interconnected and interactive on such a subtle and personal level- a thought/energy level- we at least need to explore these amazing possibilities with open minds. the hang-up here is that each person is responsible his/her own experience, so common ground requires cooperation more than anything else. lets not perish at the fountain, eh.

jump to top jaems says:

Well, since water is rarely created, most of the molecules that we use have been around for millions of years. That means these molecules have been drank by the dinosaurs, rained on Pharoahs, pumped through the veins of holocaust victims, swam in by the Beatles, etc. So what can one company do to love a molecule more than the millions of years of experiences that it's already had. That's like someone trying to sell a grain of sand to a guy on a beach. My tap water is experienced enough....And yes, believe what you will, this is just plain stupid

jump to top mike says:

The Emoto work brings up the whole idea of science as a cult-like belief system ('scientism', if you will). Presented with phenomena that fall outside the current system of belief, some scientists and journalists jump to label it "pseudoscience". I discuss this more fully in The Cult of Science. Michael Shermer did this--right on cue, in fact--in an editorial published last December's Scientific American entitled "Quantum Quackery".

jump to top Tony Cecala says:

Oh, man.

From "The Cult of Science":

"Facts, however, represent only one viewpoint on reality."

From a dictionary:

"Fact: something that has actual existence : a matter of objective reality"

jump to top Michael says:

Yeah, and from "The Cult of Science":
"You see, while fundamentalist preachers attempt to persuade you with fear of eternal damnation, some science zealots try to persuade you with facts."

Those darn science zealots trying to persuade me with facts! You can tell me things that are true that could convince me!

Ha!

jump to top Jason says:

Not to mention the article ends talking about Quantum Physics, which is science.

On that note, most people only hear a small part of Quantum Physics and never study the subject themselves. They only hear what other people say about the subject, never once opening a Quantum Phyisics text book.

I just don't understand.

jump to top Jason says:

I think that these people have the right idea. they are bringing about an awareness regarding love and health. plus they give a portion of their profits to charity. I like it.

jump to top Jerry says:

This is retarted. Even the great George W wouldn't stoop this low. I mean, its water. I only hope the CEO pays his fair share of taxes on this dirty dirty product... probably not...

jump to top Jake says:

I'm apalled to read such negativity. Just yesterday I asked my friends at Neals Yard Remedies why people havn't used the properties of water to hold a healing energy. Low and behold here it is. Yes it is not environmentally friendly but it is NOT a marketing wrip off as far as the idea goes. It is fact as far as i'm concerned that water can hold the vibrations of things put into and around it. If you really think this is rubbish you should read "Vibrational Medicine" by Richard Gerber and then see what you think. How many of you have used Bachs famous Rescue Remedy? This is the same thing applied in a different way. Open your minds a little.
