Il Palagio - Sting And Trudie Styler Sell A Slice Of Their Organic Italian Life.

Well not so much a slice, more a drizzle or a glug! Sting and Trudie, that famously all singing, all producing, all do-gooding tantric couple, have produced a range of organic honey and olive oil straight from their ‘Fields of Gold’ in Tuscany. This is the ‘Message in the Bottle’ according to Trudie: “I feel that we're using nature's bounty to give something back to the earth, and so help preserve its future for generations to come.” Since the Il Palagio range is organic and produced by very famous people unsurprisingly this particular Italian bounty doesn’t come cheap, evinced by the fact it is being sold exclusively at Harrods. To further sweeten the expensive taste Sting and Trudie are donating 10% of profits to the environmental charities they support. As a special treat however it might be nice to drizzle a bit of Sting on your toast!

Wow! Sting is donating a whole ten percent! At last, world hunger will be a thing of the past! Thank you Sting, for showing us the way.

This guy is just too much.

Actually, I used to intern for the Rainforest Foundation US and UK, which is the organization that Sting and Trudie Styler founded in the late 1980s. The organization has done a lot for indigenous peoples, and they definitely do good work. While I won't credit Sting or Trudie Styler for all of it, the fact that they were (really, ahead of their time) at the forefront of a fairly comprehensive human and land rights campaign is laudable.

I don't disagree that Sting has done good things. I guess I question his (and other's) motives when all he can manage to spare is 10% for this venture. It sounds like he's going after the money of the white, upper-middle class, environmentally conscious types rather than doing something really good. I mean, he must make 100 times more a year than Paul Newman, but Newman's Own still manages to give 100% of their profits to charity. Is he that hard up for money? I see him shilling himself all over the place lately. Yeah, I guess it is his right, but it doesn't engender warm feelings. But, yes, he has done many good things. I guess I'm getting jaded from living in a world of self-promoters and economically convenient "caring". I'll stop ranting now. Love your music, Sting.

Why only 10%?!

What a couple of smucks!

Yeah and don't forget to save the rain forest on the way out Sting!

jump to top Matt says:

WOWIE!! A whopping 10%. These people(or just Sting as Truddie is a gold digging, home wrecking horse face) Anyway, Sting is worth over $300 MILLION by some reports and will make over 100 million on his "Police reunion" tour or the 'we needmore money tour. Trudie is soooo self serving - I can see why Sharron Osbourne can't satnd her. Styler is also an ECO HYPOCRYT - she has bragged about how much it cost to pump tons of heat into her Stonhenge mansion (How about solar pannels if you REALLY care, they have a Hummer auto) She also used a helicoper to fly 80 miles rather than taking public transport - being environmentally concious must only apply to us little people who wern't lucky enough to somehow bag a "rocker" who can't see her for waht she is..Mrs. Styler also treats her staff horriable - firing a cook who became pregnant! She needs to care a little more about people and a smidge less about trees! I hope they have to pay out the nose for that Trudie Faux Pas! Ugh I just think she is an awful person - sorry, I would rather drink a gallon of Crisco before I line Trudie Styler's pocket with one red cent. Sting you are a fool - so what if she takes half, she really does make you look daft and hearing about her antics I'm not sure how you are not embarrased by her lolI know I am! Questions? Comments? I can be reached at myfake1one@yahoo.com
Tootles all my fellow loving tree huggers
P.S Don't but their Oil, honey. organic toilet paper or whatever else Trudie thinks up in order to feel special - you will just be giving Trudie Styler money - rather spend that $40 you would have spent on Olive oil - give that money directly to your fave charity it will be put to better use!
