Mairi Beautyman is the features editor at TreeHugger.com and PlanetGreen.com. She first learned about sustainability during an earth-conscious childhood in Western Massachusetts. Her dog ate what was in her organic lunch box—until she embraced her calling. Now, she likes thinking about materials that don't stick around, and believes the best green design is also nice to look at. She tends to wander off, but usually calls Berlin, Germany home. Her background is art, design, and architecture.
Mairi is also a regular contributor to Interior Design magazine and The Huffington Post, and has written for publications including Wired, Art News, Architectural Record, and The Robb Report.
