TreeHugger "Dress an Eco-Celeb" Contest

by Sean Fisher, Cincinnati, Ohio on 01. 5.06
Take Action (events)

Banner_herdesign.gifWe have been seeing a greater number of celebrities recently becoming more involved in environmental awareness. From Cameron Diaz to Darryl Hannah to Leonardo Dicaprio, there are a number of celebs that are starting foundations, driving Pruis' (or even bicycles), and buying green. In part to recognize these efforts, and in part to have a little tongue-in-cheek fun, we bring to you our "Dress an Eco-Celeb" Contest. The premise is simple - pick an eco-celeb, and outfit him/her with everything he/she needs for the day. From pants and coat down to socks and skivvies, outfit them with modern green clothing choices, green accessories, and even green transportation. We hope to show that sustainable clothing can be modern, sleek, and sexy, and we will be judging the entries on these qualities. Again this time, we are asking you to use wists.com to organize your list (and remember, you can add TreeHugger items to your wist by simply clicking the "add to wists" link on each post). Send a link to your "wist" to: contest [at] treehugger [dot] com by January 20th for your chance to win this great bag from HER Design!

Hi,

I would like to dress Cate Blanchet from my new AW 2006 collection the Chocolate brown Hollywood jacket to be worn over the navy organic linen "Vanessa" dress, with ankle boots from Beyond Skin and black organic cotton and french lace underwear from Ciel lingerie line! Cate already bought one of Ciel's coats from a shop called Jell-o in Brighton where she has a summer house whilst she is in the UK.
