Designer Heather Schibli is making some very wearable, eco-contemporary pieces up in Toronto. Her Passenger Pigeon collections are assembled from organic cotton, hemp, ecospun and tencel. The name is an homage to the formerly abundant and now extinct feathered friend. Schibli incorporates bird applique, one among well-chosen embellishments that make each simple piece a stand-out.
