While we focus on the increasing use of organic cotton and other earth-friendly fibers, we also have to think about what to do with all of the unfriendly textile landfill fodder churned out year after year. Montreal's On and On appears to be pioneering in this area, striving to become the "leader and reference for recycled ready to wear." I've been wearing recycled clothing for years but do you see me whooping it up over it?
Guy, I think you should whoop it up! We need examples of those who make used clothing work for them.
Guy were you recycling old clothes or reusing them ? many people buy used clothes, that's aiiight, but what these On&On (and PreLoved, and many others...) are doing goes WAY beyond simply going down to the goodwill and getting cheap clothes. Annie & Rebeca and the gang kick butt and they totaly deserve up-whooping! (as do the countless kids who are doing this on a large scale and have found a way cooler (and greener) way of expressing their individuality than buying some name-brand look-alike lemming costume...)
