Dzign Life Natural Soy Candles

Hot on our Amazonian candle story comes one more candle post: “According to an EPA report, paraffin candles give off petrol-carbon soot, which can blacken walls, ceilings and furniture, and contaminate ventilation ductwork in your home, as well as adding potential carcinogens into the air you breathe.” The alternative? Dzign Life suggest their soy candles, which they indicate have a lower melting point than parrafin wax and therefore will provide a cooler, longer and safer burn. Nor should they “add toxic carcinogens and pollutants into the air you breathe.” And I hadn’t previously thought of this, but apparently being water soluble, soy candle wax drips can be easily removed from most any surface. The claims that they support “an agricultural economy rather than large oil conglomerates.” might however be somewhat off-target, unless the sourced soy is of a non-GMO variety. ::Dzign Life
