Cool Rooms: Michael McDonough's Kitchen

Wired magazine profiles the coolest rooms and features Architect Michael McDonough's kitchen. It is large and well equipped (his wife is a chef) with bamboo covered radiant flooring, aerated concrete walls and an exhaust hood designed to make this a zero-emission kitchen. (We would love to know how- that Wolf range eats a lot of natural gas or propane and must generate a lot of CO2) ::Wired

You only have to walk 5+ metres to the fridge. How convenient!!!!! Worst design ever! Except for the minimal large drawers. No one needs 30+ drawers/cupboards. A kitchen doesn't need thousands of tupperware containers that just never get used.

It's easy to have a no-emission kitchen and a gas stove if you buy CO2 credits. Or plant your own trees.

You'll take my gas stove when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

hmm...
