by Lloyd Alter, Toronto
on 01.29.06
We wish it were not so, but our action hero Cameron Sinclair has been one of the busiest people on the planet, what with Katrina, the Tsunami, Pakistan and other disasters. He co-founded Architecture for Humanity 'a charitable organization which finds architectural solutions to humanitarian crises and brings design services to communities in need', and "creates innovative, dignified structures for people in crisis while protecting the environment". (Read lots of treehugger posts here) He proves that architects can make a difference. Hear him speak in LA on March 1 (free- go to ::aloud) or at Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan on March 16 (almost free,) ::Cranbrook
