and apparently, a Brit as well: "Since becoming a mum I have become so green. I am making sure that all my stuff is organic and I get rid of rubbish in a green way. Actually it is fun." Clearly, I'm all for it, but can someone please explain the 21st Century phenomenon of American mega-stars having babies and becoming eco-aware UK poseurs? I'll confess, it was cute with Gwenyth, and intriguing with Madonna - but Britney Spears? That's just weird. Via contactmusic.com (thank you John)
No freakin' way did she say that quote. Unless someone translated it from what she actually said, which is probably more like this:
"Since becoming a mom I have become, like, so green. All my stuff is organic and I get rid of trash in a green way. Umm, it's so cool!"
Please, please, do not assault our senses with any more stories on Britney Spears. It is hard enough to get away from her in mainstream media. I am not interested at all in seeing her on this website.

Hey, if being green becomes a trend, that's great. I mean, we want people to think green anyway, but for people that are followers of celebrities, this could increase the number of people that are helping out. If Spears stops being green however, we might lose the followers.

What makes her a Brit - using the word "mum"? Lots of non-Brits use it. Stop being cynical chic , and provincial, and and try getting out more often.

Actually, the linked story is based in Leeds, UK, and it follows a string of American celebrities being quoted this way in British magazines. I think it is either something the celebrities put on for the interviewer, or else British editors tweak it for British readers. See back issues of British women's magazines for furhter evidence. Brit also drive a Scion xB, which is like, so hot! There's really screamin' funny video on the web of her and her mom caught in a paparazzi storm, running one over. It's posted at the bottom of the Scion66 website.
