Could you change "Christian Gloddy's Tree-Friendly Fence" to "Marc Doll's Tree-Friendly Fence". He did all the hard work. I just blogged it.

I saw this chicken coop on the Seattle Tilth City Cickens tour last summer, and it's become an inspiration to the coop that my wife and I plan on building for next spring. It's well designed and creative in recycled usage. Good luck, Brad!

I'd have voted for the bdsm but I think the tire treads look brand new and not recycled.

Done.

re: Or rather, partly done.. I don't have access to the javascript used for the poll. I'll email Sean so he can fix it...

CW: the tread looks brand new because it's waste product from the factory. so it is new rubber that would have gone to the landfill if I were not using it!

Consider using some post-consumer recycled bicycle parts for your, ahem, toys. A friend of mine used to have a whole business making recycled BDSM toys, including whips with strips of old bike tubes and handlebar grips. She also made chokers out of O rings woven together sort of like chain mail, though I don't think the rings were recycled.

I've made bicycle spoke nipple necklaces like these, though they aren't at all sex-related. But they are made out of nipples...

I'm all for Terry and his creative lawn. I've often wondered why people continue to mow. People/Scientists at Purdue Univ. developed a type of grass that only grew 3-4 inches tall (or some reasonable amount). From what I heard (true??) Scotts Lawn Care bought the patent to prevent it from getting on the market.

Turil,

I will be expanding the line into some new areas in the next month or two, and yeah, bike parts have some very good possibilities. I'd already been thinking about inner tubes, but now you've got me thinking about the gears and things too. hmmmmm.

Actually, the only part that's brand new on these is the black rubber bike grip handle. I spent *days* searching the web for the handle I wanted, only to finally realize that bike grips (which don't show up in google under "handle") were the perfect solution!

Thanks for the clarification, John. Nifty products you got there.

Anyone want to comment on why the ideas _with_ accompanying pictures are getting the most votes?

jump to top Anonymous says:

I don't know how persuasive a picture would be on the posts that don't have photos.

jump to top Anonymous says:

Simple, A picture is worth a thousand words. And besides who wouldn't vote for chicken coops or rubber paddles! :P

jump to top Anonymous says:

I'm wondering when the voting is supposed to be over.

jump to top Anonymous says:

- and for the record, it's definitely BDSM :)

jump to top Katie says:

I think Eco-Spanking is better than Eco-BDSM.
