Emmeline 4 Re – Topshop sells recycled fashion.

pztopshop.jpgAre you looking for that perfect festive party dress for the holiday season? Well we’ve found a winning combination of great price, cutting edge fashion and eco-friendliness in the fashion label Emmeline 4 Re. Emmeline Child is the young British designer behind the glamorous recycled clothes that are being sold in Topshop’s flagship store in Oxford Street, London. She has been bringing recycled fashion to the masses since October this year as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership organised by the Department of Trade and Industry. Emmeline’s partnership is with The Salvation Army and Kettering Textiles. The great thing apart from the use of recyled textiles is that all the sales profits from the range go back to The Salvation Army, from where the textiles came, closing a nice recycling loop. It has been reported that this is the first time that recycled clothes have been sold in a major high street fashion retailer such as Topshop. Lets hope that, with the fantastic reception Emmeline 4 Re has had since its launch, more big retailers catch onto Topshop’s progressive way of thinking. In the meantime go grab yourself a recycled party dress so you can celebrate Christmas in true TreeHugger style! ::the Salvation Army ::Topshop
