This little tip comes from the New York Times and we wanted to share it. On Jan. 7 & 8 in New York City, as part of the 10th Annual MulchFest and sponsored by the Department of Parks & Recreation, untrimmed Christmas trees can be taken to various drop-off points around the city. Those of you who bring a shovel and a sturdy bag, go ahead and scoop all the mulch you can carry home. More information can be found at nycgovparks.org. Cartoon and tip via ::New York Times
