Wow, for such a skeptic you're visiting the wrong site. Anyway glacial ablation is a very well documented phenomenon going back more than 50 years. I don't where you like to read your "scientific facts," but they are flat out wrong. Any modest research into the subject would immediately reveal that glacier size has decreased worldwide over the last century.

Maybe the earth has done this all before? Maybe its in a phase of fixing itself without humans knowing? Why are we so quick to say its global warming and were ruined if we dont hurry and make radical changes to fix this. There are facts that there were more hurricanes etc.. then now. I am for the global warming just because I think the world needs to be green for a lot of other reasons then for global warming. Dont forget about the main problem here people...... POPULATION- stem your thoughts from this.

Wow. One poster says Global Warming is a myth, the next says the real problem is population? Why is it that websites like this tend to be wacko magnets.

99.9% of accredited scientists agree global warming is happening at an alarming rate, although they may not know the exact mechanism (though they have a pretty good guess). Prudence, of course, is the best policy when considering the life of the planet. Population control is the most idiotic solution I've ever heard.

Let's hope that Leonardo's movie will present the facts in a more scientific manner and with greater objectivity than Al Gore did. I fear it will be even worse and delve into unrelated topics like clubbing baby seals, and make global warming sound like another shared wacko hollywood nighmare.

Ok, I don't know where all of you Skeptics are getting your info, but it's way off the map. Look at any valid sight. And we know that the earth hasn't done this before because we can measure the temperature of years dating back 65 million years ago by drilling through ice in Antarctica and measuring the amount of ice pack. Also, I reccommend that everyone, and i mean EVERYONE see the movie "AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH". You probably won't doubt that global warming exists then. And did you know that most of the hottest years since 1800 have happened since 1990? and that 2005 and 2006 were the hottest years ever on record? So, to the person who wrote the first comment, GET OVER YOURSELF. See the evidence that's right in front of your nose.

hey dennis- i would like to tell you from a professional standpoint, because A: I'm a scientist, B: your facts are WRONG, and C : because your a moron. Global Warming is REAL!!! There are currently 365ppm, that's part per million, of CO2 emission in the atmosphere currently, while you were posting your blog. In addition, that number goes up every year EXPONENTIALLY. Oh yeah and that number 365, it is the highest it has EVER been in the last 4 billion years, you know the history of planet. So you when say there is no Ozone Hole, why dont you actually do your homework. The Ozone- O3 is the chemical component btw, which protects us from the UVA and UVB rays, gets degraded by, oh yeah CO2, which is RISING EXPONENTIALLY!!!, there are new breaks in that OZONE which now do not protect us. I could draw it for you but I don't think I will waste my time. It is predicted that by 2100, which you probably won't live to see, the ppm in the atmosphere will 1000+, so when you say that people are lying why don't you look around you. Have you noticed that Winter is shorter and Summer is longer?. Oh and btw, if you think the cold front we've been experiencing is proof that Global Warming doesn't exist why don't you do some homework on PROJECT GLOBAL COOLING!!! Look that up and if you think its not real then why is the GOVERNMENT trying to reverse Global Warmng Effects by dumping chemicals in the atmosphere to cool Earth?
