We were so surprised to find such sophistication in a small frozen Canadian town, until we noticed that it was all about the San Francisco area- there appears to be more than one North Bay. In any case, the green shopping is good- you can even take Sustainability tours for fair trade shopping. Other interesting links include candy bars a cardiologist could love and if you are really lazy, an online gift service with only green products, eco-express. Ahem! The "small frozen Canadian town" of North Bay is where Lynn Johnston, who does the "For Better or for Worse" comic strips, lives and works from (actually, in Corbeil, on the outskirts of North Bay).
