The good news is that environmentally conscious stores and designers are popping up all over the place, but if you've done your homework and can't find a locally owned eco-store in your hometown try one of these excellent online shops. As a Canadian, it's been hard to find Canadian eco-friendly (vegan) online stores that offer a wider range of products. As such, I just wanted to make a happy note that Comondi.com has launched.

Also, this holiday season, some might consider
giving an electric bike or trike to provide an alternative for those short trips. In addition to not using gas, they really are fun! From our experience in our store even the most dour of Grinches break out in a smile when they ride one.

There is a new store in Omaha, NE called Energy Smart Company. They have a website but they also have a retail store where they sell energy saving and environmentally friendly products such as Eco Timber wood floors. Their url is www.energysmartcompany.com. They seem to have the best selection of the higher quality energy saving products.
