Aerogel is that strange material that is among the world's lowest density solids. It has a porous and sponge-like structure — more than 99% of its volume is in open space. There is increasing interest in aerogel's application in green technologies such as fuel cells, catalysts for emissions control, and applications for energy storage.
GreenShift yesterday announced that it has entered into an agreement to invest $500,000 in Aerogel Composite, an aerogel manufacturing company. GreenShift Corporation is a business development company whose mission is to support companies that facilitate the efficient use of natural resources and catalyze transformational environmental gains. :: Greenshift Press Release
