George Clooney's Electric Tango Spied
by Michael Graham Richard, Ottawa, Canada

Today is a slow day because most people in the US are spending time with their family. So since nobody is reading this anyway, we'll allow ourselves to get a little tabloid-like and report that the people at Defamer have spotted George Clooney's electric Tango outside his trailer on the set of his next movie, The Good German. As we've previously reported, the star of Syriana drives a Tango. Some may laugh at the small size and 9-inch 13-inch rims, but it does 0 to 60 in 4 seconds! ::George Clooney’s Tiny Ride, via ::Jalopnik, ::Video-Blog: REVA Electric Car in London

Sorry, you're right. I got the 9" reference on Defamer.

...at least Clooney's driving something new and unique (and electric no dinosaurs needed!) ok it's not a Fetish but still... (actually YOU KNOW he'd be into a fetsh if he only knew about them....). but at least its not another MOR Prius
We have an electric car dealership here in Seattle. They have the same problem--price. Mass production would fix it. Problem is, Ford and GM tried to get serious and could not generate enough sales to make if feasible. This is not a new problem. Had they kicked off these cars in sync with high gas prices, it might have worked.
Two thumbs up for this article about the Tango!

This thing is an enviromental disaster. 50 to 75 mile range with new battiers. Weighs over 3000 lbs. Uses lead-acid batteries that probably won't last a year in normal usage (daily commuting). Comapred to a Hummer H3 this thing is horrible!

i love Gorge Clooney he is very handsome..
What a ugly car.
There are many useful informations in this great article…I really enjoy reading the whole blog that you write. Thanks!
The best article I ever read about George. Thank you
thanx for nice share
Is that thing a one seater?
Kudos to him for setting an example.
Why are these electric cars such a secret? There's none I can buy in my area except an overpriced ($13,000+) Zenn electric car that doesn't have air conditioning and won't even go on the freeway & that you have to charge every few hours. Absurd.
The others won't even be out on the market for years, unless I've got $60,000 to shell out on a Tesla.
I say give GM and Ford "bail-out" money on the condition they can only use it to make electric cars and others that can't use gasoline (solar/algae biofuels/alcohol)! Gasoline is just a toxic byproduct of oil that has created wars and raped the earth.
Meanwhile, I'm still walking.
P.S. As for comment "What a[n] ugly car" -- well, Wars for Oil are ugly and so is pollution. I'm sorry not everything can be Paris Hilton-beautiful in your world.
