DIY Recycled Tote Bag

I'm not crafty, but this idea is so clever there is a (slight) possibility that I'll give it a try. Our friends over at MAKE featured a post with instructions on making a tote bag from plastic grocery bags. Instead of recycling those pesky bags back at the supermarket, make yourself a colorful bag that you can use and reuse and reuse and... Here's the full step-by-step on how to take regular o' plastic grocery bags, cut them up, and crochet them into a tote! Use bags with a variety of colors for cool stripe patterns. Say, can anyone tell me how it is that even though I do the BYOB thing, I still have mounds of these bags lurking in my kitchen?
