Inhabitat reports on the Desert Living Center, which is an educational center that covers sustainable living in the Mojave Desert. It has gardens that demonstrate water and energy-conserving solutions for desert living, including intentional wetlands for gray and black water treatment. The center's structure is in the process of obtaining platinum LEED certification. It's organizers say the theme of the center is how to work and live with the Mojave desert rather than against it. :: Las Vegas Press via Inhabitat
