Tokyo's Dengen Recycled Textile Fashion Show

Take Action (events)

top_ctg02_img.gif Here's a clever wildlife fundraiser. Twenty six fashion designers will make old textiles new again and let them loose on the catwalk at the Tokyo National Museum. The textiles are reused, colorful and richly patterned koinobori, carp-shaped streamers that traditionally are flown to celebrate May 5th's Children's Day. After the November 14th fashion show, the clothing will be sold to bidders on Internet and mobile-phone shopping sites. All proceeds will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund of Japan.
