Conference: Global Warming in Rhode Island

by Kara DiCamillo, Newport, Rhode Island on 11. 1.05
Take Action (events)

savethebay.jpg Our little state of Rhode Island has taken some significant action lately in promoting clean, renewable energy and on November 9th our Environment Council will host “Global Warming in Rhode Island: Warning Signs, Winning Solutions.” The one-day conference, to be held at Save the Bay (shown left), is designed to educate the folks of the Ocean State about cutting energy costs while protecting the environment. Get involved with the state, learn about assistance for small business efficiency and hear about ways to design green buildings for energy conservation. The first half of the day will focus on presentations and workshops for businesses, institutions and municipalities and from 5pm to 6pm attendees will tour Save the Bay’s new “green” building which opened just recently (and we’re definitely looking forward to this part of it). From 6pm to 8pm a presentation will be given about saving on their heating and electric bills for the upcoming winter months. For those of you in the Providence/Boston/Connecticut area click here for a registration form and see you there. Via ::Save the Bay
