Celebrate With Preloved

preloved2.jpg We discovered Preloved a few weeks back but wanted to save it until today, which happens to be a birthday bash (3 years old to be exact) for their Montreal-based store. But more on that in a minute – first, we want to introduce you to their hip company. Preloved was founded by Julia Grieve back in 1995 after her career as an international model. She hired Peter Friesen as her head designer and Preloved was born in the heart of the fashionable, downtown Toronto. We’re told that their Spring 2006 collection will include 7,000 lbs. of recycled bed sheets that will be made into brunch and dinner separates (they’ve expanded beyond clothes over the years), and that they’ll be close to recycling an impressive 30,000 sweaters, thousands of t-shirts and hundreds of pounds of jeans with this line as well. Each piece is, of course, one of a kind and each one is completely stunning. Now, back to the party...help Preloved celebrate today from 10am to 10pm. Enjoy birthday cake, a DJ, a few drinks and their 30-70% off sale. Plans to renovate their Toronto store are in the works for January…hmm…maybe they’ll have another party. ::Preloved

Preloved have been a staple of the Queen Street West walk for years. It's well worth a walk on the far west side of Queen to find interesting clothes and furniture. Often from unique and eco-minded folks.

I was watching style wear channel and saw what this unique clothing was all about... I was very amaze to find out it is made from second hand clothing wear...Great Cause and Good luck to you guys!!!

Take care,

Isabel;-)
