Toyota's Fuel Cell Future: the Fine-X

toyota-finex.jpgAny of you out there who are planning on attending the 39th Tokyo Motor Show are in for quite a treat. Toyota recently announced it's plans to display the fuel-cell hybrid vehicle they call the Fine-X. Among the long list of futuristic features: gull-wing doors, "Welcome Seats" that move in and out of the vehicle to assist entry and exit and four-wheel independent steering. Toyota also is also reportedly working on a carbon-neutral system, using plant-based materials (absorbing CO2 as they grow) for some interior and exterior elements. Built under the design philosophy they call "Vibrant Clarity," the Fine-X will be similar in size to other Toyota sedans, with interior room comparable to the Camry. ::GizMag via ::Gizmodo

Toyota has been launching a lot of "unique" cars. I would love to ride this Fine-X. If there are unique cars, then there must be unique ways in driving. Auto Parts Deal sorted out some facts on unique driving to ensure safety. Check it out.

What a delightful concept car! Not only low or no emmissions but the body itself is made from plant material?!?!? Just looking a bit at the Tokyo Auto Show info, another car manufacturer has a hybrid hydrogen-gas car. Why not combine a hydrogen/gas motor with the electric hybrid engines currently in use. A nice transition vehicle from gas to hydrogen that can burn both and use the electric motor ala Honda Insight or Toyota Prius as well! I want one!!
