by Justin Thomas, Virginia on 10.25.05
Science & Technology (alternative energy)

solar_bus_shelter.jpgThese bus shelters, called i-SHELTERs, light up with LED light immediately when someone walks inside. They were created by a Canadian cleantech company, Carmanah, Technologies. The solar bus shelters were most recently installed in Edinburgh streets. They also have installations in Canada, Chicago and Seattle and a contract  to provide at least 1,200 solar-LED bus stops in the London area. :: Via Clean Break
