bottle.jpg We just came across these cool tumblers that are great for every day use or for your next cocktail party. They are made from recycled Mexican “Sol” Beer bottles in Wisconsin, making them extremely durable. A set of four is $25. Via ::design*sponge Available at ::Elsewares

on how many beer do you have to be to spend $25 for that? "Mexican Beer bottles in Wisconsin" doesn't that hurt originally? get yourself a glass cutter for $5, some sanding sheets an make yourself oodles of cups and glases. do it the treehugger way! cheers!

While in college we were trying to stock our kitchen with glasses and we didn;t want to spend any money on glasses, so we did the same thing with Corona bottles. Worked great and if we ran out it was always a good time to make another set!

make your own, get a glass cutter (as mentioned above), once you have a rough shape, sand it some, and then use a small torch to clean the edges. very nice actually

Oh, torch it! I tried this a while ago and even sanding would leave tiny glass shards. I bet a torch would do the trick, thanks for the tip.
