Loop - Organic Cotton Towels And Sheets

Recently we noted the attention to detail that Ali of Italy added to their organic product. Now it’s the turn of Loop (lovely name and logo, by the way). Organic cotton manchester (bedding) and bathware is their speciality. Skal certified cotton is processed using chemical free finishing, such as wheat starch as the sizing agent. Chlorine bleach is avoided with whitening achieved through use of hydrogen peroxide, with their low impact dyes also being certified organic. Production is in accordance with fair-trade guidelines. The bath towels shown here are 27” x 54" in a thick 650gm2 terry, which they reckon is one of the plushest on the market. You can put them to the test by searching in your purse for $34 USD. And you’ll also be doing your bit to reduce some of the 2.03 billion pounds of synthetic fertilizers and 84 million pounds of pesticides that go onto traditional cotton crops each year. (Oh, and let's not forget that trad cotton, while only around 3% of the world agricultural crop, is said to suck up about 25% of the world’s insecticides too.)
