Hillary Clinton To Speak At Cleantech Forum

by Justin Thomas, Virginia on 10. 9.05
Science & Technology (alternative energy)

Hillary Clinton_pres.jpgAccording to Clean Break, there's a rumor that Hillary Clinton will be making a keynote address at the Cleantech Venture Forum VIII in Washington, D.C., on October 25th. AOL founder Steve Case, who launched his own D.C.-based investment firm Revolution LLC in April, is also expected to attend the conference. Apparently, the recent attention Clean Tech is getting is due to the combination of financial and environmental opportunities of many emerging technologies and services. :: Clean Break

Why is this news here? I am a HUGE treehugger fan but honestly, if you think Hillary Clinton cares about the enviornment or anything remotely concerned about this country you're crazy. This woman cares only about herself and how she can become elected for President. We don't need anymore politicians like this in this country. That's why we have so many problems. Let's get some good solid green people in office, who actually care about what they talk about and not "talk shop" because it will get people like us to vote for them.

While I think it inappropriate to jump on the political bandwagon via this site, I'm inclined to agree with Brian.

This article has no place on this site. It perpetuates idolizing individuals who's prior actions have shown little to no care for something until it's popularized.

The point of the post was to note that Clean Tech is currently attracting the attention of high-profile names in business and politics.

Anonymous nails it. THis isn't promoting Hillary, its promoting the fact that CleanTech and other "Tree hugger" ideas are attracting significant political attention.

While I have little confidence in and even less knowledge of Hillary's "concerns" I would just as soon see high-profile political candidates talk about CleanTech than obsolete 19th century, industrial revolution-era technology.

Wouldn't you?

Indeed, perhaps this is all a lot of sound and fury. However Hillary is a "Smart Cookie" politically savvy and her names carries weight so, it is a feather in the Cap of CleanTech.

Meanwhile Hillary is also calling for an automotive summit also and right now the automakers ahve lost 3% to Japanese Automakers, GM is ditching GMAC probably, Delphi filed BK and Ford has a 284 million dollar loss, so if Hillary can bridge the gap, regardless of political belief this could be a good thing for America as the Automakers need to re-make themselves. We have underfunded pension issues, losses, we are entering a downturn in our business cycle, we have lay off in auto. High fuel issues are drag, borrowing is intense, meanwhile Hurricanes too. So if Hillary can do some good things and find solutions and mind you I am a Libertarian leaning hard to the right, I say by god go get em' woman and good for her, if she can bridge this gap. It is time for solutions, not BS and not talk and certainly not sugar coating. We have to bring this all together and as long as she is working towards that, well you what good for her. Thanks for listening and think on it.

Don't underestimate Hillary Clinton.

She didn't come from a silver spoon, 3 million shares of her daddy's oil stock at 13 years old background.
