We have previously discussed soy candles, electric candles and the problems of burning paraffin wax. Timothy Han makes candles out of soy wax and attests that burning soy wax does not produce the kinds of toxins that come from burning paraffin. He uses wicks that have no lead or other metals. There is a lot of evidence that the current popularity of candles is leading to a deterioration of indoor air quality and a serious increase in disastrous fires- go for quality, use them carefully, and do not try to emulate that scene in Bull Durham between Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon. ::Timothy Han via ::Guardian thanks tipster Bonnie!
Soy wax candles by Timothy Han is innovative and I applaud on his new way of candle making by not using paraffin. Although, using candles can be harmful even can cause fires still it is usefull for giving us a little light especially when there is no electricity. The rule of the thumb is just be cautious and alert when using it.
